Commenting on Richard Leonard's car-crash Good Morning Scotland interview in which he refused to say what Labour's Brexit policy would be in the event of an election, Scottish Liberal Democrat campaign chair Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

"Labour voters are overwhelmingly pro-European and every single Labour seat in Scotland voted to remain in the EU. They have been waiting and waiting for Richard Leonard to do the right thing.

"On the basis of today's interview, Richard Leonard hasn't got the faintest clue what his own policy might be. What an utter abdication of leadership.

"Brexit will cripple our public finances, services and jobs. Richard Leonard and Jeremy Corbyn must seriously change their strategy and build a majority for a People's Vote in every part of the UK."
