Commenting on continuing transport difficulties because of extreme weather conditions, Liberal Democrat Transport spokesperson and MSP for the North East Alison McInnes said:
"Stewart Stevenson has blamed the Government's poor performance on the weather forecasts.
"This excuse is even more slippery than the roads. The Met Office predicted this snowfall at the weekend, so Ministers had time to prevent yesterday's chaotic scenes.
"The North East is particularly badly hit and is predicted more snow in the coming days.
"I want a reassurance from the Transport Minister that he is doing everything he can to stop communities in Aberdeenshire and across the North East from freezing to a halt."
