Commenting as David Cameron visits the South of Scotland, Liberal Democrat MSP Jeremy Purvis said:
"This is the perfect opportunity for David Cameron to make a simple decision.
"He must either drop John Lamont as the MP candidate for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk or tell him to stand down as an MSP immediately.
"The Kelly review into MP's expenses called for an end to MPs simultaneously sitting in devolved parliaments. David Cameron said he would accept the Kelly review in full.
"It is now a straight forward case of Mr Cameron putting his money where his mouth is.
"People in Roxburgh & Berwickshire deserve a full time MSP, not someone like John Lamont who is just doing it until he can get what he sees as a better job.
"It is time that David Cameron put up or shut up."
